At one point in the 4A football season, Thunder Basin was 0-4. But the Bolts righted their ship and won 4 of their last 5 to secure a playoff spot as the #6 seed. Thunder Basin concluded the regular season on Friday with a huge 62-7 win over Cheyenne South.

The Bolts rang up a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter as Haldey Hudson had a 1-yard run and then Hudson threw a 40-yard TD pass to Parker Wagner so just like that it was 14-0.

The Bolts were equally effective in the 2nd quarter as Hudson found Wagner for a 19-yard TD connection with Zander Kumm following that up with a 22-yard run to the end zone. Hudson added to the Thunder Basin total with a 23-yard scamper for 6 and South got on the board on an 80-yard completion from Easton Lopez to Aiden Mitchel.

The Bolts earned 2 touchdowns in the 3rd quarter and 2 more in the 4th quarter to win this going away. Thunder Basin is 4-5 on the year and will be on the road at Cheyenne East in the first round of the 4A playoffs. Cheyenne South wraps up the season at 0-9.
