It is a condensed Week 5 of prep track and field in Wyoming, with the holiday coming up this weekend. Most teams will be competing early in the week, and some track meets have already been moved because of the weather forecast. A total of nine meets will be in Wyoming this week. Glenrock, Buffalo, Worland, and Shoshoni will host track meets on Tuesday. Laramie, Rawlins, and Evanston host on Wednesday. Thursday will see track and field meets in Burns and Casper. Nearly all schools will be off during the holiday weekend. A group of teams will compete out of the state from Wednesday through Saturday.

TUESDAY, APRIL 15:

BATTLE AT THE ROCK TRACK MEET at Glenrock HS – Campbell County, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County.

Girls Team Scores = Natrona County 308.67, Kelly Walsh 174.33, Glenrock 58, Campbell County 37.

Boys Team Scores = Kelly Walsh 293.5, Natrona County 218, Glenrock 79, Campbell County 64.5.

Saige Gustafson of NC won the 100 & 200 meters. Ally Wheeler won the 2 distance races. KW's Tristyn Buss won the 2-hurdle races in the girls' division. NC's Gage Brooks was the lone boys' 2-event winner in the 200 meters and the long jump.

BISON VS. BEARCAT DUAL TRACK MEET at Buffalo HS – Buffalo vs. Douglas.

Girls Team Scores = Buffalo 98, Douglas 48

Boys Team Scores = Buffalo 76, Douglas 69.

Patsy Graves of Buffalo swept the 2 sprint races. Ellie Farris won the 800 & 1600 meters. Destiny Cleveland won the 400 meters & the high jump. Grace Finkle took 1st in the discus & shot put. Jaden Meyer of Douglas won both hurdle races and the long jump.

Payson Hollingsworth of Douglas went 4-4. He won the 110 & 300 hurdles and the long & high jump. Buffalo's Ethan Rayo won the 1600 & 3200 meters. 

D&D INVITATIONAL at Worland HS – Burlington, Cody, Lovell, Powell, Rocky Mountain, Ten Sleep, Worland.

Girls Team Scores = Cody 201, Worland 190.50, Powell 122, Lovell 34.50, Burlington 33, Rocky Mountain 17, Ten Sleep 12.

Boys Team Scores = Lovell 171.50, Cody 167, Powell 106, Worland 98.50, Burlington 45, Ten Sleep 25, Rocky Mountain 14.

Worland's Kalistynn Crippen won both girls' sprinting races. Powell's Paige Sanders took 1st in the long jump & triple jump. Cody's Sophia Radakovich swept the throws. For the boys, Kyler Stinson of Cody won the 200 & 400 meters. Lovell's Matthew Newman won the 110 hurdles & triple jump. Teammate Owen Walker won the high jump & long jump. Lovell's Halen Strom captured the shot put & discus.

SHOSHONI HS INVITE at Shoshoni HS – Arapahoe Charter, Dubois, Ft. Washakie, Greybull, Kemmerer, Riverside, Shoshoni, Thermopolis, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy, Wind River.

The Kemmerer girls won 7 events. The Thermopolis boys won 11 events. Laynee Walker of Kemmerer won the 100 meters, 300 hurdles, and pole vault. Del Dukes of Thermopolis won the boys' 100 & 200 meters. Jadeth Elder won the 1600 & 3200 meters. Cole Keller won the 400-meter & triple jump. Derek Hagler won the discus & shot put.

Girls Team Scores = Kemmerer 154, Thermopolis 69, Greybull & Shoshoni tied 66.50, Riverside 60, Wind River 59, Dubois & Ft. Washakie tied 24, Arapahoe Charter 17.

Boys Team Scores = Thermopolis 287, Kemmerer 140, Riverside 46, Wind River 40, Greybull 39, Shoshoni 31, Ft. Washakie 23, Dubois 20, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy 6, Riverside B 5, Arapahoe Charter 1.

 

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16:

LARAMIE INVITATIONAL at Laramie HS – Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Rock River, Wheatland, Wright.

No team scores were kept.

Laramie won 10 of the girls' events. Desirae Iacovetto of Wheatland captured the 100-meter and 100-meter hurdle races. Milli Meza Perdomo from Wright won the 300 hurdles and the high jump. Laramie's Kamrie Bingham took 1st in the long jump and triple jump. Laramie's Kate Lewis swept the throws.

Laramie won 9 of the boys' events. Flynn Arnold of LHS swept the 2 sprint races. Will Arens won the 400 meters and the long jump. South's Trey Downham won both hurdle races.

NANCY STEINBERG INVITATIONAL at Rawlins HS – Big Piney, Encampment, Green River, H.E.M., Kaycee, Little Snake River, Pinedale, Rawlins, Rock Springs, Saratoga.

Girl Team Scores = Rock Springs 146, Rawlins 94.50, Big Piney 88, Green River 77.50, Pinedale 73, Saratoga 57, Encampment 43, H.E.M. 30, Little Snake River 10.

Boys Team Scores = Rock Springs 180, Saratoga 84, Green River 82.50, Little Snake River 74, Rawlins 70, Big Piney 66, Pinedale 50, H.E.M. 23, Encampment 8.50.

Big Piney's Micah Strong won the 100, 200, and 800. Strong also helped BPHS win the 4x400 relay. Green River's Nicole Wilson swept the hurdle races and won the high jump. Kristie Jordan from Encampment won both throwing events.

For the boys, Jordan Andrew of Green River took 1st in the 800 & 1600. Brody Johnson of Saratoga won the 200 meters and 300-meter hurdles. LSR's Bridger Cozzens was 1st in the discus and shot put.

SHERIDAN COUNTY TRIANGULAR at Sheridan HS – Big Horn, Sheridan, Tongue River.

Girls Team Scores = Sheridan 341, Tongue River 93, Big Horn 58.

Boys Team Scores = Sheridan 321, Big Horn 139, Tongue River 54.

Sheridan won 15 of the 16 girls' events. Taygen Willson won the long jump & triple jump. Olivia Hardesty won the 100 meters and the 300-meter hurdles.

Sheridan won 13 of the 16 boys' events. Garrett Otto won the 200 meters and 110-meter hurdles.

UINTA COUNTY TRIANGLE INVITE at Evanston HS – Cokeville, Evanston, Farson-Eden, Lyman, Mountain View; out-of-state team = Rich, UT.

Full results were not posted, especially field events, at last check.

Girls Team Scores = Evanston 131, Cokeville 59, Mountain View 40, Lyman 21, Farson-Eden 8.

Boys Team Scores = Evanston 157, Rich (UT) 37, Mountain View 35, Cokeville 25, Farson-Eden 9, Lyman 3.

Addison Barnes of Cokeville won the 100 & 300 hurdle races.

Out-of-State events:

Center of the Nation Invite at Belle Fourche, SD – Newcastle, Sundance, Upton.

Girls = Upton 9th at 37.5 points, Sundance 12th with 21 pts, Newcastle tied for 14th with 5 pts.

Boys = Newcastle 7th with 38.5 points, Sundance 9th with 34 pts, Upton 12th with 26 pts.

Maddie Mills from Upton won the girls' triple jump. Elijah Morrill of Newcastle won the boys' triple jump.

 

THURSDAY, APRIL 17:

BURNS INVITATIONAL at Burns HS – Burns, Guernsey-Sunrise, Kaycee, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Lusk, Pine Bluffs, Southeast, Torrington; out-of-state teams = Gering (NE), Leyton (NE), & Pawnee (CO).

Girls Team Scores = Torrington 125, Burns 107, Southeast 95, Gering (NE) 93, Lingle-Ft. Laramie 91, Lusk 61, Pine Bluffs 26, Leyton (NE) 25, Kaycee 18, Pawnee (CO) 16.

Boys Team Scores = Burns 156, Gering (NE) 131, Lingle-Ft. Laramie 92.50, Torrington 83.50, Pine Bluffs 56.50, Lusk 44, Southeast 27, Kaycee 23.50, Guernsey-Sunrise 17, Leyton (NE) 14.

For the girls, Torrington's Brooklyn Ausmus won the 100 & 200 meters. No boy won 2 individual events.
