Week 2 of the Wyoming High School indoor track season rolls along with three competitions for student-athletes from the Cowboy State. Campbell County hosts the largest meet for teams in the state on Saturday. That same day, Cheyenne Central has its Kevin Salverson Invitational with seven teams competing.

The other indoor track meet is a two-day competition in Utah at Weber State University. They host their high school invitational with field events on Friday and track events on Saturday. Here is the schedule for the second week of indoor track. Schedules are subject to change.

Friday, Jan. 23

Weber State HS Indoor Invitational in Ogden, UT: Field Events only, starting at 4 p.m. (rolling schedule)

Team Attending: Evanston, Green River, Laramie, Mountain View, Rock Springs.

Laramie's Kate Lewis won the weight throw for the girls at 45-2.50 and the shot put at 41-6.75. Sergio Sisneros from Rock Springs tied for 2nd in the high jump at 6-0. That was the top finish for a Wyoming male in the field events.

Laramie's Lainey Berryhill won the 200 & 400 meters. Seth Petersen from Campbell County took 1st in the boys' 55-meter dash and 200 meters. NC's Champ Ransom won the 800 & 1600 meters. Laramie's AJ Sirdoreus won the long & triple jumps.

Kevin Salverson Invitational in Cheyenne at the Central HS Fieldhouse:

Teams Attending: Buns/Pine Bluffs, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Rawlins, Wheatland.

Girls Team Scores = Central 154.83, Laramie 106.50, East 43.33, Burns/Pine Bluffs 42, Wheatland 34, Rawlins 32.33, South 15.

Boys Team Scores = Central 118.50, East 118, Laramie 71.50, South 40, Rawlins 39, Burns/Pine Bluffs 32, Wheatland 7.

Wheatland's Raelyn Goff won the 1600 meters and pole vault, took 2nd in the 400 meters, and 3rd in the shot put for the girls. Central's Cal Bibbey won the boys' 800 & 1600 meter races.

Weber State HS Indoor Invitational in Ogden, UT: Track Events only, starting at 9 a.m. (rolling schedule)

Team Attending: Evanston, Green River, Mountain View, Rock Springs.

Evanston won the boys' 4x400 relay at 3:38.77. Rock Springs was third in that relay. Cole Rogers from the Mtn View team took 2nd in the 55-meter hurdles.
