Jackson’s Rebecca Griebel Accepts Walk-on Spot at Cornell

Jackson Hole graduate Rebecca Griebel is continuing with track and field as a walk-on at Cornell University. Griebel qualified in three individual events at the 2024 state track meet in Casper last May. She finished fourth place in the 4A triple jump. She also ran the 200 meters and was in the long jump.

Griebel won the 4A West Regional title in the triple jump with a leap of 36-0. Her best leap of 37-0.75 landed her in fourth place at the 4A championships a week later.

She was a four-time qualifier at the state track meet. Griebel also won a championship as part of Jackson’s 1600 Sprint Medley relay in both 2021 and 2022.

Cornell University is in Ithaca, NY. The Big Red are in the Ivy League.
