WyoPreps Weekly Volleyball Rankings on September 16, 2026

The top teams continued their reign in the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Volleyball Poll. Hulett, Big Horn, Lovell, and Kelly Walsh remained in the No. 1 spot in the rankings revealed on Wednesday. One new team entered the 3A top five, and two teams rejoined the poll after previously being ranked earlier in the season. Voters were still uncertain on which teams belonged in the top five of all four classifications.

FOURTH WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL RANKINGS 2026

In Class 2A, Sundance re-entered the rankings at No. 5. The Bulldogs went 6-1 at last weekend’s Big Horn Invite, which bolstered their move. Southeast climbed to third, which pushed Pine Bluffs down to fourth. The Big Horn Rams were a unanimous choice for No. 1 with all 15 first-place votes.

After winning the Sandy Jebens Invitational with every 3A team in attendance last weekend, the Lovell Bulldogs were alone at the top of the 3A rankings. The Bulldogs pulled in 17 of the 19 first-place votes. Douglas came in at No. 2. Powell’s runner-up finish in Rawlins helped the Panthers debut in the poll for the first time this year. Powell was third. Mountain View moved up one spot, and Torrington fell to fifth.

The Trojans maintained control of the 4A ranks. Kelly Walsh received all but one first-place vote. Green River returned to second. Thunder Basin jumped up to third. Evanston slid down to fourth. Cody’s 4-0 mark at the Star Valley Invite helped the Fillies rejoin the 4A top five in fifth.

The Class 1A top five was the same as last week. Hulett solidified its spot at the top. The Red Devils earned 13 of the 16 first-place votes.

The voting continued to show a theme in the volleyball rankings. At least four teams got at least one vote in all four divisions. You can view the full rankings by clicking the button below.
