Big changes to the 4A rankings, teams traded spots in two classes, and two schools made their debut in the new WyoPreps Coaches and Media Volleyball Poll on Wednesday. All four classes changed for the third consecutive week. The top teams held their spots. What was different? The order of the other schools. Wheatland and Cheyenne Central broke into the rankings.

SEVENTH WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL RANKINGS 2026

The Cheyenne Central Indians surged into the poll for the first time. The Indians lead the southeast quadrant. They debuted at No. 5 in the 4A Poll. Central swept the Gillette schools last weekend, which included an upset of Thunder Basin. Natrona County impressed enough voters with its recent play that the Fillies jumped from fifth to second. Thunder Basin fell to third, and Evanston dropped one position to fourth. The only team that kept its spot was Kelly Walsh at the top. The Trojans received all but one first-place vote. They’ve been dominant all season long. The only surprise was that KW was not a unanimous choice for No. 1.

The Wheatland Bulldogs made their first appearance in the 3A rankings this year. They’re fifth after they improved to 6-0 in the East Conference standings. The rest of the Class 3A top five was the same. Lovell earned 13 of the 16 first-place votes to remain the favorite in that classification. Douglas was second again. Mountain View and Powell stayed third and fourth, respectively.

Class 1A and 2A saw the fourth and fifth-ranked teams’ flip-flop.

In 1A, that meant Dubois moved up to fourth, and Upton slid down to fifth. Hulett was No. 1 and got all but one first-place vote. Burlington was a solo second, and Cokeville came in at No. 3.

Sundance and Pine Bluffs traded positions in the 2A rankings. The Bulldogs climbed up to fourth, and the Hornets fell to fifth. Big Horn was a unanimous choice as the top-ranked team. Greybull stayed in second, and Southeast held on to third.
