Wyoming Boys All-Star Basketball Preview With Shawn Neary [VIDEO]
The Wyoming All-Stars look to end a lengthy losing skid against Montana in the annual series this weekend.
The Pronghorn Center at Gillette College will host the Wyoming side of the two-game set on Friday for the first time. Saturday’s action will be in Lockwood, MT.
WyoPreps’ David Settle spoke with Gillette College men’s basketball coach Shawn Neary, who heads up the boys’ coaching staff for Team Wyoming Tuesday. Coach Neary discussed the event being in Gillette, bringing the team together over a short time, preparing for a talented Montana team, and some keys for his squad.
Wyoming lost Stu Lerwick from Pine Bluffs to a recent injury that will prevent him from playing, according to Coach Neary. They added Kamden Niemann from Cody and Carter Clark of Worland to the roster. Here are both team rosters for the 2023 all-star games.

This year is the 47th for the boys’ series. The games were not held in 2020.
Montana swept the series in 2022. The Treasure State boys won 103-76 and 94-77 a year ago. Montana has won 20 in a row and leads the boys' series, 65-27.
The boys’ game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on both nights.
