PhotoFest! Sheridan Girls Defeat Rock Springs to Remain Unbeaten
Sheridan is the defending state champion in 4A girls' basketball, and the Broncs have reloaded for the 2024-25 season. This program lost some valuable players to graduation but has started the season 8-0 with 3 wins in the Winter Classic in Cheyenne over the weekend.
The Lady Broncs started the tournament with a 10-point win over Wheatland, followed by a 20-point victory over Riverton and a 27-point win over Rock Springs. In Saturday's game against Rock Springs, Mesa Hanft led the way with 13 points, with Kaylee Chase adding 11.
Rock Springs went 1-2 in the Winter Classic with a win over Cheyenne South, so the Tigers are 1-5. Emma Asay had 13 points vs. Sheridan and has been averaging 16 a game so far this season.
