Denver Broncos Make Trade With The New York Jets For New Quarterback

On the same day that the Denver Broncos released a new uniform for the first time since 1997, they also announced a trade that nobody saw coming. With the NFL Draft this week, most Broncos fans have been sitting, waiting, and wishing that Denver would finally draft their QB1 of the future.

With rumors of the Denver Broncos looking to possibly trade down from their current position in this year's NFL Draft to secure a bit more draft capital, most fans were hopeful that wasn't going to be the case as we have a chance to nap a special QB who could lead our team into the future. After a surprise QB trade though, those dreams could be just that, dreams.

Denver Broncos Trade For QB Zach Wilson

NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter have both reported that the Denver Broncos have traded for New York Jets QB Zach Wilson. Wilson was the 2nd overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but the job as the Jets QB1 hasn't gone according to plan. Will a fresh start in Denver be just what he needs to be the QB he was thought to be when New York drafted him?

While the last QB named Wilson didn't work out for the Broncos, the fans are hopeful that this trade ends up being more in our favor. The biggest question today is, with the draft coming this Thursday, are the Broncos no longer looking for a future QB now that they have Zach?

It's entirely possible that Head Coach Sean Payton believes in the possibility of Wilson being our new franchise QB, and uses the 12th overall pick to fill another need on the team.

It's even more likely at this point that Denver trades the 12th pick and moves back in an attempt to get more picks from a team that's desperate to move up. One thing is for sure, this year's NFL draft somehow got even more interesting for Broncos Country... In Payton, we trust?: Ugh... Go Broncos
