Now, no one here wants to be a Scrooge this holiday season, especially with the idea that you could get a lump of coal! And, Wyoming has the best coal in the country, so Santa won't have to go too far to pick up a load to dump in your stocking. Let's try to avoid that this year, why don't we?

Fortunately, the Cheyenne Little Theatre is about to produce a cautionary tale of why not to be a, well, Scrooge, with their production of The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge.

The show itself is set to kick off Friday, December 2nd at the historic Atlas Theater in Downtown Cheyenne. Tickets are on sale now for $22 bucks. You can purchase them in advance here. Some seats are already gone for opening night, so it's looking like maybe we have some buzz for this performance.

Here is a short description from Cheyenne Little Theatre of the play itself.

The Trial of the Century! A year after his miraculous transformation, Ebenezer Scrooge is back to his old ways and is suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for breaking and entering, kidnapping, slander, pain and suffering, attempted murder and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. One by one, Bob Cratchit, Scrooge's nephew Fred, solicitor and philanthropist Sara Anne Wainwright, and the ghosts themselves take the witness stand to give their account of the night in question.

Oh, I am a fan of this.

This seems like it will be a really fun take on the Dickens classic.
