When living in and around the wilds of Yellowstone, it's not unusual to hear about bears busting into a home in search of a meal. Heck, it's not uncommon to hear about raccoons or foxes invading a home for an easy bite.

But a bison busting into a home? I've never heard of such a thing! At least, not until Boom Boom debuted on TikTok.

Who is Boom Boom, you ask? Perhaps the sneakiest, most cunning bison alive today.

Meet Boom Boom, the Burglaring Bison Extraordinaire

Boom Boom is a bison under the care of Montana rancher Hayden Kittler, who runs a bison ranch near Yellowstone National Park. He's pretty adept at busting into Kittler's home for treats and company. His visits result in hilarious videos capturing Kittler's exasperation as he coaxes the bison out of the house.

Boom Boom debuted on the TikTok channel @haydenkittler in July of 2023 and has since continued his impromptu visits. The aftermath of a Boom Boom break-in is, suffice to say, very messy. The bison leaves furniture strewn about in his wake, creating one hot mess for Kittler to clean up. Check it out:

Why Does Boom Boom Break Into the Kittler Home?

According to the official Boom Boom store website, the bison became part of Kittler's family when his mother passed away shortly after birthing Boom Boom.

"I was only 10 years old when Boom Boom was born. Shortly afterward, his mother died from the birthing process... unable to live on his own, my family brought him into the house to care for him. He is now 12 years old, and the house still feels like his home."

Boom Boom isn't an only child - his brother Appa (presumably named after the character in Avatar the Last Airbender) lives on the ranch with him. Appa is fond of visiting the house for treats and love, too!

Boom Boom Gets a Music Video & A Plushie

I apologize in advance for the fact that the following video will be stuck in your head for the next 24 hours.

If you need another reason to love Boom Boom, he now has a music video remix of his visits featuring the musical talents of Vengaboys and their song "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!"

He also has a plushie and t-shirt available for fans. You can find the merchandise on the store's website here.

About the Bison on Hayden Kittler's Ranch

Kittler has more than just Boom Boom roaming his ranch. Another frequent star of his TikTok channel is Bam Bam, the albino bison, Boom Boom's brother Appa, Boom Boom's girlfriend, and a whole herd of other bison.

PSA: Don't Pet the Bison!

You may now have the urge to pet the bison of Yellowstone National Park. Don't try it! The bison on Kittler's ranch are domesticated - and even domesticated bison are dangerous. The American Bison can run up to 35 mph, and their horns are deadly weapons.

The wild bison of Yellowstone have injured more people than any other animal in the park, says the National Parks Service. Bison are unpredictable, even when domesticated. Ranchers raising bison know this and know how to interact with the creatures. You shouldn't get closer than 25 yards from a bison; anything closer can be perceived as a threat.
