Two Cheyenne residents are facing drug possession charges after a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper reportedly found methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana in their vehicle.

According to arrest records, 67-year-old William Henry Hill was headed north on Interstate 25 around 4:09 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, when the trooper stopped him near the College Drive exit for having no front license plate, tint too dark, and following too close.

A drug detection K-9 arrived and alerted on the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 13.5 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 5.7 grams of fentanyl, and marijuana in plant and liquid form.

A loaded semi-automatic pistol was also found under the driver's seat.

Hill and his passenger, 37-year-old Angela Louise Drewery, who identified herself with an F.E. Warren Air Force Base card, were arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for felony possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

As of noon Wednesday, the two had yet to be formally charged.

CLARIFICATION:

F.E. Warren Air Force Base says Drewery has no affiliation with the base or with the Air Force.

They say she had a base contractor identification card as a deliverer, as she worked for DoorDash at times and had the ID to allow her to deliver food on base.
