Albany County Emergency Management is offering sandbags to people who live along the Little Laramie River in an area where the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning.

That's according to a post on the Albany County Sheriff's Office Facebook page:

''Residents along the Little Laramie River in the Flood Warning Area:
Sandbags and sand are available to anyone in the potential flood area that are at risk of flooding. Please contact EMA at (307) 721-1815 to setup a time to pick up needed supplies from Centennial Volunteer Fire Station.''

Wet Weekend Weather May Make Flooding Worse

The weather service last report said water is likely to remain high in the area through the weekend. A wet weekend is expected in southeast Wyoming, which could worsen the flooding.
