Cheyenne Man Accused of Injuring Female, Destroying Her Property
A 34-year-old Cheyenne man previously convicted of domestic battery is facing another domestic battery charge as well as a felony charge after allegedly causing bodily injury to a female household member and destroying her property.
According to a booking sheet, a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy arrested Dustin Paul Bruckner at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

It's alleged that or about the day prior, Aug. 4, Bruckner, who was convicted of domestic battery on Jan. 5, 2024, caused bodily injury to a female household member by use of physical force, a misdemeanor, and destroyed more than $1,000 worth of her property, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Initial Court Appearance
On Thursday, Aug. 7, Bruckner was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the charges.
Forwood appointed Bruckner a public defender and asked the state for recommendation on bond.
"The defendant has a series of prior violent offenses ... a felony from December 2016, probation violations from August 2011 and April 2018, contempt from December 2017, a violation of protection order from February 2022, a conviction for felony stalking and domestic battery from January 2024," the state said. "These factors would cause the state to recommend a $15,000 cash bond."
Bruckner told Forwood he really needed to keep his job.
"I didn't do any of what they're saying," said Bruckner, adding that he was the one who "called the cops."
Bond Set at $10K Cash or Surety
Forwood set his bond at $10,000 cash or surety, saying, "My concern is the felony violent history. The fact that this is the second domestic violence offense within the last year and a half."
Bruckner is scheduled to be back in Circuit Court for his preliminary hearing on Friday, Aug. 15, at 9:45 a.m.
Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
