Young Man Faces Charges After Burglary at Cheyenne Car Dealership
A 19-year-old from Fort Collins, Colorado is facing a slew of charges following a burglary at a Cheyenne car dealership.
Alarm Leads to Felony Arrest
According to police spokeswoman Alex Farkas, officers were dispatched to an alarm activation at Cowboy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram at 1121 E. Lincolnway around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, and arrived to find a masked man, identified as Damon Walter Jones, inside the lobby.

"Investigators determined that Jones had thrown rocks at a glass door to gain access to the building," said Farkas. "During a search, they found key fobs belonging to the dealership in his possession."
"In a nearby parking lot, officers located a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Fort Collins," Farkas added. "A key fob recovered from Jones unlocked the stolen car, where officers found drug paraphernalia and additional key fobs believed to be linked to another dealership."
Farkas says it's believed the burglary may be connected to other incidents recently reported in Fort Collins, and they're working closely with Fort Collins Police on the investigation.
Jones was subsequently arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for felony burglary, felony property destruction, misdemeanor interference with a peace officer - no injury, felony possession of marijuana, felony burglary from a vehicle, and felony theft.
He's scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on Monday, Nov. 10, at 10:15 a.m.
Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
