A 36-year-old Cheyenne man is facing felony charges after allegedly injuring a household member and getting caught with methamphetamine.
Wanted Cheyenne Man Caught With Meth
According to a booking sheet, police arrested Kent Richard Embree Jr. at High Plains Road and Richard Road at 2:47 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Police say Embree had an active warrant for felony domestic battery signed by Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams on Monday, Sept. 22, with no bond.
Police say Embree also had a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue and a plastic bag with more than three grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Embree was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with domestic battery - third or subsequent offense, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both; and felony possession of methamphetamine, a crime punishable by up to seven years in prison, up to a $15,000 fine, or both.
Total Bond Set at $13K Cash
Williams saw Embree on the domestic battery charge on Tuesday, Sept. 30, and the methamphetamine possession charge on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Due to Embree's substantial criminal history and the state's concern for the safety of the community as well as his willingness to comply with court orders, Williams ended up setting Embree's total bond at $13,000 cash — $10,000 cash in the domestic violence case and $3,000 cash in the other docket — and his preliminary hearings were scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 2:15 p.m.
