Cheyenne Frontier Days Night Show Ticket Sales Postponed
Cheyenne Frontier Days officials say a bot attack on ticketing partner AXS has prompted a postponement of sales of Night Show Tickets to Monday, March 17.
That's according to an announcement on the Cheyenne Frontier Days website.
CFD officials say the attack could have prevented a "fair and smooth" ticket buying experience for purchasers. The sales had been slated to start today [March 13]..
According to the announcement, the attack was an "unprecedented issue' and ''The AXS team is actively reinforcing measures to protect against automated purchases and ensure a fair buying process.''
The post says that to make sure that everyone has a fair and equal chance to buy tickets, the sale has now been postponed until Monday, March 17 at 9 a.m.
We strive to protect and maintain the integrity of our ticket sales to the public," said Tom Hirsig, CEO of Cheyenne Frontier Days. "Unfortunately, our Frontier Nights ticket launch was targeted by an attack that surpassed anything AXS anticipated. We understand the concern and frustration this may cause our CFD community. We want to assure our ticket buyers, fans, and partners that providing fair and affordable tickets to our event is our top priority.”
