Cheyenne Fugitive Captured After ‘Hollywood-Style’ Rooftop Chase
Another fugitive on the Laramie County Sheriff's Office's "10 Most Wanted" list has been captured following a rooftop chase like the ones you see in the movies.
According to a booking sheet, 31-year-old Cheyenne transient Anthony James Estrada was arrested at 12:33 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 1623 E. Lincolnway.
"The apprehension was out of Hollywood with the foot chase over roof tops," the agency posted on Facebook. "Nice try, but we always get our desperados."
Estrada was arrested on two Laramie County warrants.
The first was out of District Court for revocation of bond and was signed by Judge Catherine Rogers on July 11, 2023.
The second was for domestic battery - third offense or subsequent and two misdemeanor theft charges and was signed by Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee on June 27, 2023.
Deputy Groendal (pictured above with Sheriff Brian Kozak) and Deputy Grover were branded for capturing Estrada.
Deputies continue to look for Bryon Edwards, who's been on the list since it was first published on Facebook on June 14, David Hernandez, who was added to the list on July 10, Carl Coons, Abby Delf, and Charles Swank, who were added to the list on Aug. 1, and Laura Springer and Christopher White, who were added to the list on Aug. 4.
