Cheyenne Laramie Could See Heavy Downpours, Cool Week Ahead
Cheyenne and Laramie could see heavy rain, large hail and strong winds today [Aug. 23], with a cool, wet next few days also in the forecast.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service
The agency posted the following on its website:- A few scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop today, mainly in a fairly narrow area between about Laramie, Wheatland, and Pine Bluffs highlighted in dark green on the map. Isolated strong winds, large hail, and/or localized downpours will be possible, mainly between about 3PM and 8PM. Not everyone in this area will see rain, and shower/thunderstorm activity will be more limited in surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, the forecast over the next few days looks like this:
A cold front will move through the region Friday into Saturday bringing fall-like temperatures for the weekend and most of next week. Daily, widespread precipitation chances and cloudy skies will lead to a dreary week, with excessive rainfall possible Saturday and Monday. Monday will be the coolest day with temperatures only in the mid-60s to mid-70s. Enjoy?!
