Cheyenne Man Arrested After Drugs Found During Traffic Stop
A 31-year-old Cheyenne man is behind bars after police say they caught him with drugs.
According to a booking sheet, Shane William Ryker was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, after an officer stopped him at East Lincolnway and Hot Springs Avenue for having no registration and no tail lights.
The officer says Ryker had constricted pupils and was sweating profusely, and said he was coming from playing Yu-Gi-Oh downtown, but denied having had anything to drink or smoke.
Ryker was reportedly ordered out of his car and handcuffed after a sergeant arrived on the scene and spotted a pipe and foil on the passenger seat and floorboard.
Police say Ryker had a bag of suspected fentanyl in the right front pocket of his jeans. A bag of suspected marijuana was also reportedly found in the glove box of his car.
Ryker was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for felony possession of fentanyl and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
As of 10:50 a.m. Friday, he had yet to be formally charged.
UPDATE:
Ryker is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday, Nov. 6 at 10:15 a.m.
