Cheyenne Man Arrested for Public Intoxication, Drug Possession
A 30-year-old Cheyenne man is behind bars after police say they found him drunk with drugs on him.
Police say they were called to a disturbance at Andre Javon Golden's residence at 1222 Taft Ave. at 4:16 a.m. yesterday, June 21, and arrived to find Golden in the parking area outside the apartment complex.
Police say Golden smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech.
When police searched Golden, they reportedly found 17.6 grams of suspected MDMA pills and a small baggie of suspected cocaine on him.
Golden was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance in pill form, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in powder form, and public intoxication.
Golden made his initial court appearance on the drug charges this afternoon, June 22, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash at 20% and his preliminary hearing was set for next Thursday, June 29, at 1:30 p.m.
