Cheyenne Man Gets 10 Years in Federal Prison for Child Porn
A 55-year-old Cheyenne man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possessing child pornography, the United States Attorney's Office announced Friday.
According to office spokeswoman Lori Hogan, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation received more than 100 cyber tips on Jesse James Hunt who was using several aliases to set up different social media accounts.
"A search warrant was conducted and over 1,000 images and videos were recovered from Hunt’s phone and an online account," Hogan said in a release.
"When interviewed, Hunt admitted possessing child pornography," Hogan added.
In addition to the 10-year prison sentence, Hunt was also ordered to pay $57,000 in restitution and a $200 special assessment.
Hunt will be subject to 10 years of supervised release once he is released from prison.
