
Men Hit With Felony Charges After Blown Engine Leads to Marijuana
Two men are facing felony drug charges after Wyoming troopers reportedly caught them with a bunch of marijuana.
According to booking sheets, Brian Cain and Kaitlyn Towberman, both 34 of Sewell, New Jersey, and Joshua A. Skomsky, 40, of Lower Lake, California, were arrested at the Love's Travel Stop in Cheyenne on the evening of Friday, Sept. 12.

Car Break Down Leads to Felony Charges
According to Cain, they were passing through when the engine on his car blew.
Cain and Skomsky were subsequently charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both, and felony possession of marijuana, a crime punishable by up to five years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Cain was also charged with taking a controlled substance (methamphetamine) into jail, a felony punishable by up to three years in prison, up to a $3,000 fine, or both, and two misdemeanors, including child endangering and no insurance.
Towberman was never charged.
Initial Court Appearances
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, Cain and Skomsky were seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on their charges.
$5K Cash Bonds
Forwood appointed them public defenders and, at the state's recommendation, set their bonds at $5,000 cash, and their preliminary hearings were set for Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m.

UPDATE: Towberman Charged
On Saturday, Sept. 20, Towberman was arrested on a warrant for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor child endangering.
According to the arresting officer, Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams signed the warrant on Monday, Sept. 15.
On Monday, Sept. 22, Towberman was seen in circuit court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the charges.
Forwood set her bond at $5,000 cash or surety and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 2, at 2:30 p.m.
