Cheyenne Man Charged With Stealing Money From Pilot Travel Center
A 21-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly stealing more than $1,000 from Pilot Travel Center.
According to a booking sheet, it all started around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, after police were called to Pilot Travel Center at 8020 Campstool Rd. for a reported larceny.

Police say they contacted the suspect, Jonathon Vega, and Mirandized him and he admitted to stealing money from the company.
Vega was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Initial Court Appearance
The following afternoon, Aug. 22, Vega was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Sean C. Chambers on the charge.
Chambers appointed Vega a public defender and asked for the state's bond recommendation.
"Mr. Vega has no priors, no history in any jurisdiction," the state said. "So, the state would ask for $1,000 at this time."
Out on Bond
Chambers set Vega's bond at $1,000 at 10%, which he later posted, and his preliminary hearing was set for Friday, Aug. 29, at 9:45 a.m.
Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
