Cheyenne Police Department Welcomes 2 New Officers
Two new officers have joined the ranks of the Cheyenne Police Department, the agency announced Monday.
Misty Brown and Aaron Scott were sworn in at the Cheyenne Public Safety Center on Sept. 5.
According to a department Facebook post, Brown is a Cheyenne native with over 12 years of experience working in the Records Division at the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office.
“Working in the Records Division and joining ride-alongs with both the county deputies and city officers gave me insight into how rewarding the job can be,” she said.
Scott relocated to Cheyenne from Medicine Bow.
He shared that becoming a police officer and serving his home state have been life-long goals.
Brown and Scott are the fourteenth and fifteenth officers to be sworn in this year.
Scott will now attend the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in Douglas. Brown is already post-certified and will begin the CPD's Field Training Officer program.
