Cheyenne Police Looking to Nail Tool Thief
The Cheyenne Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding whoever stole more than $1,000 worth of tools from a resident in Sun Valley.
According to Public Information Officer Alex Farkas, the crime took place in the 1100 block of Colonial Drive and is believed to have occurred sometime between March 1 and March 3.
"Multiple bags of tools were stolen out of a toolbox located in the bed of a truck," said Farkas. "The tools were all marked with a combination of the letters, L, K, W, and P or the word 'Jessel.'"
Examples of the markings are pictured below.
Farkas says more than 40 tools were reported stolen, but she didn't have an exact estimate as to their value.
