As police approached, the driver opened the driver's door and began to swing his feet out of the SUV.

The driver identified himself as Ronald Jerome McNeill Jr. and told police that the SUV did not belong to him and he just stole it, "Like Grand Theft Auto."

Police asked McNeill where he stole the SUV from and he told them near Mead Lumber, which is approximately three blocks from the residence it was parked in front of.

McNeill was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on a single count of felony theft.

He is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this afternoon, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m.

UPDATE:

McNeill made his initial court appearance Thursday, during which his bond was set at $5,000 at 20% and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 13 at 9 a.m.
