A 34-year-old Cheyenne man with a history of drug crimes is now facing aggravated assault charges.

According to a booking sheet, Regis Lawrence Adams was arrested without a warrant at the Probation and Parole Office at 1934 Wyott Dr. in Cheyenne at 10:11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, for allegedly violating the conditions of his probation or parole.

2 Warrants

The arresting police officer says Adams also had two warrants, a warrant out of Laramie County District Court for a civil violation and a warrant out of Laramie County Circuit Court for two counts of aggravated assault and battery - serious bodily injury, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Adams was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked on the P&P hold and his warrants.

Bond Set at $10K Cash

The following morning, June 25, Adams was seen in Circuit Court in front of Judge Antoinette Williams on the aggravated assault charges.

His bond was set at $10,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, July 2, at 3:45 p.m.
