A 39-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly causing more than $1,000 in property damage.

According to a booking sheet, police arrested Shawna Renia Lemke at 5:59 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16.

Felony Warrant

Police say Lemke had a warrant for felony property destruction, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

The crime is alleged to have occurred on or about Saturday, Aug. 9.

Initial Court Appearance

On Monday, Aug. 18, Lemke was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the charge.

Forwood appointed Lemke a public defender and asked the state for recommendation on bond.

"I would note for the court that Ms. Lemke does have a failure to appear from 2025," the state said. "That's a DUI and a stalking - violation of protection order."

"Also, her major criminal history, the state would be recommending a $2,000 cash bond in this matter," the state added.
