A 56-year-old transient is facing multiple charges, including a felony stalking charge, after allegedly, once again, violating a protection order.

According to a booking sheet, police arrested a semi-cooperative Trevor Scott Bierman at an apartment in the 1700 block of Taft Avenue at 6:01 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20.

It's alleged that on or about Wednesday, Oct. 15, Bierman violated a protection order.

Bierman was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for interference with a peace officer - no injury, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail, up to a $1,000 fine, or both; and the protection order violation, a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail, up to a $750 fine, or both.

Initial Court Appearance

On Thursday, Oct. 23, Bierman was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the misdemeanor charges as well as a charge of felony stalking, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

It's alleged that on or about the period of Saturday, April 19 to Monday, Oct. 20, Bierman harassed the victim (W.H.) in violation of a permanent order of protection.

Forwood appointed Bierman a public defender and asked the state for recommendation on bond.

"As this court sees, there are a number of violations alleged in this matter," the state said. "Additionally, Mr. Bierman pled to another violation of a protection order involving the same victim for credit for time served in June."

It should be noted that police arrested Bierman for protection order violation at the same apartment on Tuesday, April 22.

"This escalating behavior ... the underlying conduct alleged in the probable cause affidavit gives the state significant concern for her safety," the state said. "Additionally, Mr. Bierman has a history of domestic related offenses from 2012, I see a failure to appear from 2008, a contempt of court from 2008, and a probation violation from 2003, along with a number of other felony and misdemeanor convictions unrelated to these charges, however, that extensive history gives the state concern for the safety of the community as well as Mr. Bierman's ability and willingness to comply with this court's orders."

"For those reasons, the state believes that a cash bond is appropriate," the state added. "Given the felony charge, the state would ask for a $4,000 cash bond in that docket and a $1,000 cash bond in the misdemeanor docket."

"I do believe that is appropriate," said Forwood.

Bierman is scheduled to be back in court for his arraignment and preliminary hearing on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m.

Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
