The Thunderbirds have been part of Cheyenne Frontier Days since 1953, although there have been years when they didn't perform dues to weather conditions or for various other reasons.

As of Friday morning, it didn't appear too likely that weather will be an issue on Saturday morning. Here is the Saturday Cheyenne forecast from the National Weather Service:

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 90. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Cattle & Crawfish, A Wyoming Roundup Story

It's the time of year when Wyoming ranchers get together and help each other with the roundup.

These are family and neighbor affairs.

After the work is done, there is always a gathering and a meal.

This year, it was imported crawfish - boiled.
