Cheyenne Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges for Trio

Three people have been charged with drug possession following a traffic stop in southwest Cheyenne last week.

According to arrest records, 58-year-old Pocatello, Idaho resident Theresa Inez Wilson and her passengers, 61-year-old Rodolfo Ontiveros and 22-year-old Halana Cheyenne Schlosser, both of Cheyenne, were traveling north on Interstate 25 last Tuesday, Sept. 26, when a deputy with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office stopped Wilson for speeding near mile marker 7.5, about a half a mile south of the Interstate 80 interchange.

While completing routine paperwork, a drug detection K-9 was deployed and the dog alerted on Wilson's car.

A probable cause search revealed numerous suspected controlled substances, including marijuana in a lock box in the trunk, and methamphetamine and fentanyl pills in Wilson's purse.

Ontiveros reportedly told the deputy that he had used methamphetamines that day.

And as the trio was being arrested, Schlosser produced a bag of more than three grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Wilson was charged with misdemeanor possession of fentanyl, marijuana, and methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $2,000 cash and her arraignment was scheduled for Oct. 23 at 9:30 a.m.

Ontiveros was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. His bond was set at $1,000 at 10% and his arraignment was scheduled for Oct. 25 at 9:30 a.m.

Schlosser was charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled narcotic substance. Her bond was set at $3,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 6 at 9 a.m.

Schlosser also had a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
