A woman who earlier this month pleaded guilty to misdemeanor property destruction is back in the Laramie County Detention Center after allegedly causing more than $8,000 worth of property damage.

According to booking sheets, the Laramie County Sheriff's Office arrested Julie Christine Martineau, 45, of Fort Collins, Colorado, at a home in the 400 block of Thoroughbred Lane at 11:18 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, for violating a protection order and misdemeanor property destruction.

On Tuesday, July 8, she was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Antoinette Williams on the charges and pleaded guilty.

Williams set Martineau's bond at $500 cash, which she posted, and her sentencing was scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 9:30 a.m.

Released on Bond, Arrested 6 Days Later

Then, at 12:06 p.m. on Monday, July 14, the Sheriff's Office arrested Martineau at a home in the 9900 block of Wayne Road for felony property destruction, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

On Wednesday, July 16, Martineau was seen in Circuit Court in front of Williams on the charge.

"Ms. Martineau has a history of contempt for violations of civil protection orders in 2025, violations of protection orders in 2025 as well, and she was also given bond conditions, she posted a $500 cash bond on July 8, and one of the conditions of that bond was to not be arrested or violate any laws, which clearly occurred," the state told the court.

"She also did over $8,000 of damages during this event, giving the state concern for the safety of the community as well as her clear inability to comply with the court's order," the state added. "I believe the state already did revoke her bond or is planning to and for this instance would request a $3,000 cash bond."

Bond Set at $5K Cash

Williams set Martineau's bond at $5,000 cash.

Her next court appearance will be a preliminary hearing on Friday, July 25, at 9:45 a.m.

Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
