A 75-year-old Cheyenne man accused of aggravated assault is out of jail on his own recognizance after being picked up on a felony warrant.

According to a booking sheet, Laramie County Sheriff's deputies were called to F.E. Warren Air Force Base on Tuesday, Nov. 26 after military police officers working the main gate stopped Terry Lee Schoolcraft Sr. for having a warrant.

2 Counts of Aggravated Assault

Deputies say the warrant was for two counts of aggravated assault and battery - threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

They say Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Sean C. Chambers signed the warrant on July 19, 2024.

Schoolcraft was arrested and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without issue.

$3K PR Bond

Schoolcraft appeared in Circuit Court the following morning, during which he was granted a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

Schoolcraft is scheduled to be back in Circuit Court for his preliminary hearing on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 3:30 p.m.
