Failure to Maintain Lane Leads to Arrest of Wanted Cheyenne Man
A 46-year-old Cheyenne man was arrested following a traffic stop north of Cheyenne last week after being found to have two felony warrants.
Traffic Stop
According to a booking sheet, a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper was patrolling near mile marker 21 on U.S. 85 at 1:44 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, when she stopped Corey Lee Williams for failing to maintain his lane of travel.
Felony Warrants
When the trooper ran Williams's information, she discovered he had a warrant out of Laramie County for felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Circuit Court Judge TJ Forwood signed the warrant.
The trooper says Williams also had a felony warrant out of Aurora, Colorado, for forgery.
Williams was arrested without incident and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked on his warrants.

Bond Set at $2,500 Cash
On Wednesday, March 5, Williams was seen in Circuit Court on the felony theft charge.
His bond was set at $2,500 cash, and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Thursday, March 13, at 2 p.m.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
