
Traffic Stop Leads to Meth, Felony Drug Charges for Cheyenne Man
A 68-year-old Cheyenne man is facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop south of Cheyenne.
According to a booking sheet, a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper was sitting near mile marker 3.5 on Interstate 25 at 10:41 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, when he spotted Jerrold Martin Jovick driving an SUV with dark tint on the front windows.

Window Tint Leads to 19.7 Grams of Meth
The trooper caught up with Jovick and conducted a traffic stop in the Horse Palace parking lot.
The trooper says a records check showed Jovick had a suspended driver's license and Jovick was taken into custody.
The trooper says while he was searching Jovick, Jovick reached into his pocket and pulled out a clear glass smoking pipe that he crushed with his hand.
When the trooper searched Jovick's SUV, he reportedly found 19.7 grams of methamphetamine.
Jovick was taken to the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and then booked into the Laramie County Detention Center.
Jovick Hit With Felony Drug Charges
Jovick was subsequently charged with two felonies, including possession of methamphetamine and manufacture or delivery.
He was also charged with driving while suspended, a misdemeanor.
Bond Set at $3K Cash or Surety
Jovick made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday, Jan. 27, during which his bond was set at $3,000 cash or surety and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m.
