Jailed Cheyenne Transient Hit With Felony Theft Charge
A 20-year-old Cheyenne transient currently being held in the Laramie County Detention Center on misdemeanor charges is now facing a felony charge.
According to a booking sheet, a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy assigned to court security was advised by Circuit Court of an active arrest warrant for inmate Sarena Linsay Like for felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Judge Sean C. Chambers signed the warrant on Oct. 25, 2024.
Bond Set at $1K at 10%
Like was served on Tuesday, Oct. 29, and seen in Circuit Court the following day, during which her bond was set at $1,000 at 10% and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, Nov. 8 at 9:45 a.m.
Like has been in jail since Oct. 16, when police arrested her for refusing to obey, refuse to ID to police officer, and disturb peace and disturb property.
