A Cheyenne teen is facing a felony charge after he was reportedly caught in a spray-painted stolen vehicle with spray paint on him.

According to a booking sheet, 19-year-old Jayce Chance Schriefer was arrested at the Pilot Travel Center at 8020 Campstool Rd. at 10:49 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3 after a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy caught him sitting in a vehicle reported stolen to the Cheyenne Police Department.

Paint on His Hands and Jeans

The deputy says the stolen vehicle was white but painted black, and Schriefer had black paint on his hands and jeans.

Schriefer Charged With Felony Theft

Schriefer was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without incident and subsequently charged with felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

Bond Set at $2K Cash

Schriefer made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Wednesday, Nov. 6, during which his bond was set at $2,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 1:30 p.m.
