Former Cheyenne Truck Stop Employee Accused of Stealing Thousands
A 28-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from a truck stop where he was employed.
According to a booking sheet, Tyler Jack Hollenbach was arrested at his home in the 1400 block of Feldspar Road at 2:29 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 for felony theft from the TA Travel Center at 4000 Interstate 80 Service Rd.
TA Says Hollenback Stole $2,457 in 1 Month
The arresting Laramie County Sheriff's deputy says the reporting person and accountant at the TA advised from Oct. 9, 2024, until his termination on Nov. 8, Hollenbach stole $2,457 from the cash register.
The deputy says the reporting party provided video and accounting documenting the incident and a signed statement from Hollenbach, who admitted to the theft.
Hollenbach was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked without incident.
Hollenbach Charged With Felony Theft
Hollenbach was subsequently charged with felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Bond Set at $3K Cash
Hollenbach made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Thursday, Nov. 14, during which his bond was set at $3,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, Nov. 22 at 11:15 a.m.
