A 47-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a felony charge after reportedly kicking at a jailer.

Traffic Stop

According to a booking sheet, Chrystal Ann Brown was arrested at 516 S. Greeley Hwy. at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, after a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy stopped her for expired registration.

The deputy says Brown also had a suspended driver's license.

During the investigation, the deputy says Brown dropped a meth pipe, and when told not to step on it, she stepped on it.

K-9 Sniff Leads to Drug-Related Items, Arrest

The deputy then had a K-9 come to the scene to conduct a free air sniff, and the dog reportedly alerted on Brown's car.

The deputy says when they searched the car, they found several drug-related items.

Brown was handcuffed and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where she reportedly became uncooperative.

Jailer Kicked

The deputy says as jailers were attempting to move Brown to a cell, she kicked at one of them, causing pain.

Meet the Four-Legged Heroes of the Cheyenne Police Department

They may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but make no bones about it, police dogs play a vital role in the fight against crime.

In many situations, they're the first ones to put their lives on the line to protect their human partners, proving that not all heroes wear capes, some wear fur coats.
