Police say Aulisa Frlipita Trevino Carabajal told them that she was standing next to her car on the driver's side with the door open when a man who'd been driving back and forth on the lot across the street, something she thought was strange, pulled up extremely close to her.

Carabajal said the man didn't hit her or her car, but because he drove so close to her, she pulled a bat out of her car and hit his car with it.

Well Over $1K in Damage

Police say the man had three dents in his car, and explained that he was a mechanic and was trying to fix the car, and was using the lot to test the reverse.

The man said he pulled up next to Carabajal because she waived him over.

Police say the man told them it would cost well over $1,000 to fix the damage Carabajal caused.

Carabajal Charged With Felony Property Destruction

Carabajal was arrested and subsequently charged with felony property destruction, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

Carabajal made her initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Tuesday, Oct. 8, during which her bond was set at $1,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18 at 9 a.m.

Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
