Suspicious Vehicle Report Leads to Wanted Cheyenne Man's Arrest

Police say they went to the alleyway behind the address where the motorcycle was reported to be and found Austin Levi Daniel working on the bike.

Due to him being a suspect in a recent motor vehicle theft, Daniel was handcuffed and his name ran, which showed he had a warrant out of Laramie County and an order of arrest from the State of Wyoming Parole Board.

Police say the charges were for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance in powder or crystalline form and fleeing or attempting to elude police officers.

They say the warrant was signed by Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee.

Daniel was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on the warrant as well as charges of felony motor vehicle theft, felony theft, felony possession of burglar's tools, and misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine.

Daniel Charged With 4 Felonies

Daniel was formally charged with felony theft, felony possession of burglar's tools, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in powder or crystalline form, and misdemeanor property destruction in one case and two counts of felony theft in another case.

Daniel was seen in Circuit Court on Monday, Sept. 16, during which his total bond in the two felony cases was set at $10,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday, Sept. 23 at 10:30 a.m.

Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
