Cheyenne Man Busted for Drugs After Being Arrested on Warrant
A 37-year-old Cheyenne man is facing drug possession charges after police say they found heroin, methamphetamine, and fentanyl in his pickup after arresting him on a felony warrant.
According to a booking sheet, police at about 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3 conducted a field interview at the Loaf 'N Jug at 5539 Yellowstone Rd. regarding a wanted person identified as Brandon Dean Starkey.
Police say Starkey, who had a warrant out of Laramie County for probation violation which was signed by District Court Judge Robin S. Cooley on Sept. 17, 2024, had arrived at the convenience store on foot, but they believed he had parked his pickup somewhere nearby.
Detectives contacted Starkey inside the store and detained him, and he was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he underwent the booking process without incident.
Police say about an hour after Starkey was arrested, Officer Koeppel found his pickup idling behind the store.
Koeppel deployed her K-9 partner Tyler, and the dog reportedly alerted on the pickup.

Used syringes, additional plastic bags, and cards with Starkey's name on them were also reportedly found in the container.
