A 21-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman.

Physical Domestic Leads to Felony Arrest

According to a booking sheet, police responded to a physical domestic on Friday, Nov. 29, and contacted Chad Rick Lane Nickelson.

Police say they had probable cause to arrest Nickelson for domestic battery, a misdemeanor, and aggravated assault on a pregnant woman, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Nickleson was handcuffed and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked on the charges.

Bond Set at $3K Cash

Nickelson made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday, Dec. 2, during which his bond was set at $3,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m.

This isn't the first time Nickelson has been charged with aggravated assault.

He was arrested on April 19 after reportedly firing two rounds into the rear driver's side of his ex-girlfriend's Jeep while she was driving.
