A 37-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly threatening to kill his wife and cut her eyes out.

According to a booking sheet, police were called to Nickolas David Jones' apartment in the 900 block of West College Drive at about 10:46 p.m. on Aug. 14, 2024, for a domestic disturbance with a weapon.

Domestic Disturbance Leads to Felony Charge

Police say when they arrived on the scene, Jones was standing on the curb next to his apartment with his hands in the air saying, "I dropped the knife."

Jones then reportedly pointed to a folding knife in front of him on the curb.

"Jones was in an altercation with his wife threatening to kill her and cut her eyes out while holding the opened folding knife in a 'ready' or aggressive manner," the booking sheet reads.

Police say Jones' family member, who was on the phone during or about the time of the altercation, confirmed overhearing the threatening statements made by Jones.

Police say Jones told them he was yelling at his wife for not getting a job, but denied threatening her.
