
Wanted Man Arrested, Caught Taking Drugs Into Laramie County Jail
A 47-year-old transient is facing a felony charge after Laramie County jailers reportedly found drugs on him.
According to a booking sheet, police were dispatched to Gold's Gym at 1616 E. Pershing Blvd. at 12:36 a.m. on Friday, May 2, for a report of suspicious people.

Report of Suspicious People Leads to Wanted Man's Arrest
Upon arrival, police contacted Jarrod Robert Davis, who they say had a misdemeanor warrant out of Laramie County Circuit Court for failure to appear on original charges of no proof of liability insurance, registration violation, and driver's license required.
Judge TJ Forwood signed the warrant on Feb. 11.
Police say Davis also had a misdemeanor warrant out of Cheyenne Municipal Court for failure to appear on an original charge of no proof of liability insurance.
Judge David Singleton signed the warrant on April 2.
Search Leads to Drugs, Felony Charge
Davis was arrested and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was searched, and reportedly had drugs on him.
Davis was subsequently charged with taking controlled substances into jail, a felony punishable by up to three years in prison, up to a $3,000 fine, or both.

Bond Set at $2K Cash
On Monday, May 5, Davis was seen in Circuit Court on the felony charge.
Bond in the case was set at $2,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, at 3 p.m.
