"Responding officers found that the house was broken into, and an item was stolen from inside," Farkas said in a news release on Thursday morning.

"The incident followed two prior burglaries on Tuesday, March 11, that occurred in the same neighborhood," she added.

Social Media Post Leads to Arrest

Farkas says a resident captured surveillance video of the suspect and posted a photo on social media, which led to the teen being identified as the suspect.

Farkas says the teen was arrested without incident and booked into the Laramie County Juvenile Services Center on charges related to the burglary.

"Anyone with additional information or surveillance video of these crimes is encouraged to contact the Detective Bureau at (307) 637-6513," she added.
