A 65-year-old Bushnell, Nebraska man is facing a felony charge following a traffic stop in southwest Cheyenne.

According to a booking sheet, a police officer was dispatched to East Fox Farm Road and Avenue B-3 at 3:23 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 to transport Jay A. Latta on a traffic stop.

Latta was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, a crime punishable by up to seven years in prison, up to a $15,000 fine, or both.

Bond Set at $5K Cash

Latta made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Friday, Nov. 1, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m.
