
Cheyenne Burglary Suspect Caught Tailgating, Hit With Felony Charges
A 65-year-old Cheyenne man is facing felony charges after allegedly committing burglary and causing more than $1,000 worth of property damage.
According to a booking sheet, John H. Owen was pulled over at Logan Avenue and East Lincolnway on Wednesday, Jan. 29 after a police officer who'd been on the lookout for him, as Owen was a suspect in a burglary, spotted him following another vehicle too closely.

Owen was asked to step out of the vehicle, handcuffed, and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center for booking.
Owen Charged With Burglary, Felony Property Destruction
Owen was subsequently charged with burglary and felony property destruction, both crimes punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Bond Set at $5K Cash
Owen made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Thursday, Jan. 30, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7 at 9:45 a.m.
