Police say a Subaru Outback was at the intersection with a stop sign when the driver pulled out in front of a Ford F-250 that was eastbound on Nationway pulling a flatbed trailer with a small track loader, causing a broadside collision.

"The front of the Ford impacted the driver's side of the Subaru," a fatality crash summary from the Wyoming Highway Patrol reads.

Police say the driver of the Subaru, identified as 78-year-old William Sanders, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Police say the pickup driver, an 18-year-old Hillsdale man, was not injured in the crash.
